Inspired by the history of Capel Celyn, and the mythology of the Mabinogion (Specifically the story of Lludd and Llyfelys), Cofiwch is a song well and truly steeped in Welsh-ness.

It may be difficult to see the relationship between the two stories at first, but there were so many opportunities to cross the two over when writing the song, and basically create our own mythological version of history. The result is a warning tale, and a protest song, all wrapped into one.

Heavily influenced by the Classic Rock of the 70s and 80s, the instrumentation is reminiscent of bands like Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden. Meanwhile, the dramatic lyrics lean toward Jefferson Airplane.

Village is overthrown, that Lion schemes
He pays no heed to mother tongue screams

They remember, tangled in a silken shroud
Screaming, they rise into the air
In the shape of dragons
