Initially intended to be a song about love, we found the minor key and melancholy melody led us down another path, and “Feeling” turned into a song about trying to find trust and stability after escaping an abusive relationship.

Sometimes we depend on other people to help us out of a bad situation, and this isn’t always such a bad thing. But sometimes we can place so much faith in someone else’s help that we forget to help ourselves. This song paints a picture of a person who just doesn’t know how to help themselves anymore. They are relying entirely on the prospect of being saved.

At some point, many of us will have been in a similar position, even if not for the same reasons. We think that “Feeling” will speak to a lot of people on this level. Perhaps it may even provide a moment of catharsis in a tough time.
